Girls Use Tanks to Fight Kaijuu in New Mobile Game
posted on by Chris Nishijima
There are three things that appeal to the average male otaku: girls, guns, and giant monsters. Either in a stroke of genius or a bout of madness, Bandai Namco Games has come up with a way to combine all three of those things into their latest mobile app game. Introducing Shingun Destroy!: Girls Tank Battalion, the only game that we know of that lets you save the world from kaijuu by attacking them with a tank battalion made up of seven beautiful girls.
The gameplay is fairly simple. You must defeat a giant monster on the battlefield by utilizing your own miniature army. Each of the seven tanks that you have on your side of things is manned by the girl of your choice. Characters are fully voiced and each have a special finishing move that they can use in battle against their foe. There are currently over 30 different girls that you can choose from to assemble your army.
Of course, the customization of this game is not simply limited to the characters. You can also choose, upgrade, and modify each of the tanks that your all female tank squadron will use. There are more than 150 base tanks available, complete with varying designs and statistics so that you can strategize what tanks fit your militia best.
During battle, you will be faced with many challenges in the form of kaijuu. It is your duty to exterminate these mysterious creatures before they can go forth and decimate the world. Whenever something significant happens during battle against these monsters, such as a special attack or a critical hit to a unit, the respective character will show up in full body form to deliver a bit of fully voiced battle dialogue.
Bandai Namco Games ran a special in-game launch campaign until September 9, where players receiveed a special Gacha ticket each day to use in order to obtain new tanks.
Shingun Destroy!: Girls Tank Battalion is currently available for free via the Japanese Apple App Store. For more information, check out the official website.
