Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Princess Knight Celebrate Nakayoshi's 60th Year
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The January 2015 issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi girls' manga magazine marks the publication's 60th anniversary on December 1. The magazine's corresponding website for the celebration released a teaser image showing some of the magazine's most popular series over the years. The image include Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon, CLAMP's Cardcaptor Sakura, Peach-Pit's Shugo Chara!, Osamu Tezuka's Princess Knight, Megumi Tachikawa's Saint Tail, Moyoco Anno's Sugar Sugar Rune, and more.
The magazine is planning the "Nakayoshi 60th Anniversary Masterpiece General Election" where readers can choose their favorite "masterpiece" series from the magazine's line-up.
The January issue also bundles a set of fingernail stickers with designs from Cardcaptor Sakura and Ohayō! Spank.
Several Nakayoshi series are celebrating their own anniversaries, too. Sailor Moon's 20th anniversary celebration started last year and has included new stage play productions, a new anime series, a re-release of the original manga, and loads of merchandise. CLAMP's Cardcaptor Sakura and Magic Knight Rayearth are also getting new tie-in merchandise.
