BOME Asuka Figure Gets US$7,000 Price Tag

The limited edition Asuka figure by BOME that debuted at this summer's Wonder Festival is now on sale for a whopping 864,000 yen (US$7,165).
Pre-orders opened on Thursday but are already closed.
Asuka's plug suit is based on the design from the Neon Genesis Evangelion films. The figure measure 550mm (21.6in) high.
Bome is a sculptor working predominately with Kaiyodo to create anime figures. The company releases a line of his work titled Monsieur Bome with characters from Kiddy Grade, Full Metal Panic!, Dead or Alive, Gunbuster and Otaku no Video.
