Manga Creator-Turned-DJ Releases 1st Music Video

Manga creator Daisuke Nishijima (Dien Bien Phu) also has a successful career as his other alias, DJ Mahōtsukai (DJ Magician). He's recently begun collaborating with "underground idol" Tama Himeno and the duo are releasing their fourth single "Catacombe" on February 13. For the first time, Nishijima and Himeno released a music video for one of their songs.

"Catacombe" is serving as the theme song for the futuristic short film Iruikon no Ethnography (Ethnography of Heterogamy) starring Danganronpa 2 stage cast member Kurumi Nakada.

Nishijima and Himeno are will hold the "Konna Basho ni Kurun Janakatta Tour" (Tour That Didn't Come to Such Places) for the single. The pair will perform at events at the Vandalism Shibuya bar and the Ryogoku Rakuen Room event space in Tokyo on February 11. Then they will perform at the Comitia 119 dōjinshi event and "Terrain Vague vol.57" event in Tokyo on February 12. Finally, the tour will conclude with in-store events at two Tower Records stores in Tokyo on February 16 and in Hiroshima on February 26.

Nishijima is also hosting a manga class with writer Sayawaka in April.
