Square Enix's Visual Works Studio Promotes Character Development in Action-Packed Cyborg Battle Short

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Visual Works, the CG movie production department of game developer Square Enix, is promoting its character development abilities in a new promotional video. It also comes with a content warning! These Noh-masked cyborg monsters aren't playing around and things get action-packed pretty quick.

The video was a joint effort by Kazuyuki Ikumori, the video's director who came up with the original concept and character designer Yosuke Toyoda. Visual Works itself created the cut-scenes for a wide variety of video games beginning with Final Fantasy VII to the Kingdom Hearts series, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Hitman: Absolution.

The studio was spotlighted in exhibition at the Ooka Makoto Kotoba Museum in Mishima, Shizuoka in 2016. Visitors gott the opportunity to be up close and personal with Visual Works' creations through never before seen high-quality prints and short documentaries.
