Uncut DBZ tapes to start with Tournament

Funimation will not re-dub the original 13 episodes. DVD Movie 4 coming.

Funimation has confirmed that the first of the new home video releases of the opriginal Dragon Ball series will be the uncut hour long tape "Tournament - Roshi's Request." It appears that Funimation has chosen to pick up the series where the original 13 episode American release ended.

The original 13 episodes we're heavily edited and cut by Ocean Group when they were dubbed for TV broadcast.

Tournament - Roshi's Request will be released on VHS on June 5th, however no DVD date has yet to be announced.

Funimation has also confirmed that Dragon Ball Z movie 4, "Lord Slug," will be released on edited and uncut VHS on August 8th.
