Seattle Lecture on Anime

The Consulate-Genearal of Japan at Seattle will be giving a lecture on Japanese Animation on October 30th

The 9th College Workshop Series: Lecture on Japanese Animation

"Kitty-Chan, Pokémon and Manga: Reincarnations of the Japanese Artistic Genius"

This lecture explores how the artistic vitality displayed in popular Japanese animation is not a recent phenomenon but a continuing trend in Japanese Art.

Come and trace the fascinating history and cultural background of some of today's most loved characters in Japanese animation.
