Cell Phone Content Provider to Pay 600 Million Yen for Animation Studio

On February 23rd, Cell Phone service provider Index announced they will purchase Mad House for 600 million Yen On the 27th.
With the increasing performance and functionality of cell phones, Index forcasts an increasing demand for animated programing among its clientelle.
Index will underwrite about 67% of Mad House's 3rd party allocation of shares. This deal is not limited to cell phone animation distribution, but will also extend to above-ground digital broadcasts and broadband.
Distribution of Mad House content via cell phone may begin as early as March 2004.
