Satoshi Kon Talks to New York Times
posted on by Mikhail Koulikov

In the interview, Kon shares his thoughts on the role images drawn from traditional Japanese religion play in the film and on the overall intention behind Paprika. He also criticises fans who use anime "as a means of escape from their real lives" and calls for a "balance between real life and imagination."
