Franchise's first feature film to premiere in Japan in December

The official Japanese website of the Gegege no Kitarō: Nihon Bakuretsu!! supernatural anime film has launched with a teaser trailer. The film adapts Shigeru Mizuki's manga about a demon boy who tries to maintain the delicate balance between the human and supernatural worlds. The manga already inspired five television anime series, several earlier animated theatrical shorts, and a live-action film as well as its planned sequel. Toei Animation revealed on Sunday that the film will have six different versions, with the female Neko Musume character cosplaying in a different outfit customized to each of Japan's major regions. The franchise's first feature-length film will open in Japan in December.
