Sample chapter about rogue doctor posted online for free
The North American publisher Vertical has posted a free preview of Black Jack, Osamu Tezuka's classic medical manga about a traveling doctor who operates out of the bounds of society. The preview contains "The Ballad of the Killer Whale," a sample chapter from the second volume. Although Viz released two volumes of the manga before, Vertical plans to release the entire series for the first time in English in the order that Tezuka, a pioneer in modern Japanese manga, had intended. The first volume of Vertical's edition will ship on September 23.
