Elfquest, Masque of the Red Death's Pini Interviewed

The About.com website has posted an interview with Wendy Pini, the co-creator of the long-running Elfquest graphic novel series and the boys-love-manga-influenced comic adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's Masque of the Red Death short story. Pini describes the early reactions to her anime-influenced style and how she and her husband found a new audience in both traditional comic stores and mass-market bookstores. She also discusses the struggles that female artists face in the American comic industry and the development of her interpretation of Masque of the Red Death at Go! Comi.
