MangaNovel to End Online Service for Translated Manga
posted on by Egan Loo
The MangaNovel website announced last Friday that it will end its translated manga services on February 27. The website, which is 89% owned by the conglomerate Toshiba Corporation, launched in October of 2007. Unlike other similar services, MangaNovel displays licensed manga with translations provided by both end users and in-house staffers. It expanded its offerings with Aruzi Morino's Flash-animated Etora's Wing series this past July. In the end, it offered over 30 titles from about two dozen authors. Until the website ends its services, existing users can still purchase manga or view free manga.
