22-year-old actress Suzanne will star in a live-action film adaptation of Yukiya Sakuragi's Inubaka: Crazy for Dogs comedy manga this fall. Suzanne will play Suguri, a girl who has a mysterious knack for dealing with even the most ferocious of dogs. The story follows Suguri's life as she works in a pet shop in the city. Suzanne commented that she loves dogs herself, so she looks forward to filming the project.
The original manga has been running in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine since 2004, and 720,000 copies of the 17 compiled book volumes have been published. Viz Media is publishing the 13th volume of the manga this month.
