Japanese Animation Blu-ray Disc Ranking, October 19-25 (Updated)

According to the Oricon survey firm and the Mainichi Shimbun paper, the fourth Blu-ray Disc volume of K-ON! is the fourth volume in a row to debut at #1. It sold 27,000 in its first week. In July, "Hōkago Teatime," a two-CD mini-album "performed" by the K-ON! characters, became the first anime character CD release to top either the weekly album or single chart of the Oricon survey firm. That same month, the first K-ON! BD volume sold about 33,000 copies to become the #2 best-selling BD release overall and the #1 television anime BD in Japan so far.
Gekijōban Chō Kamen Rider Den-O & Decade Neo Generations Onigashima no Senkan, the bridge movie between three live-action special-effects projects (Kamen Rider Den-O, Kamen Rider Decade, and Chō Den-O), debuted at #11 on SoundScan Japan's chart. Crows Zero II, Takashi Miike's second live-action prequel film based on Hiroshi Takahashi's Crows fighting manga, dropped from #2 to #13 in its fourth week. Yatterman Tenko-Mori Blu-ray, the deluxe version of Miike's live-action film adaptation of the Yatterman anime, also fell from #5 to #20 in its fifth week.
