New Beyblade Merchandise in Spring, Before Anime Debut

The toy company Hasbro has announced that it will release its Beyblade: Metal Fusion line of battling tops this spring, ahead of the debut of the 51-episode anime series in North America this Fall. The new toys will feature a new metal gear system, five interchangeable parts, and a code to enter online to compete against other players worldwide.
The new anime series stars a new cast of "characters competing for dominance with their Beyblade tops, battling with an evil organization, Dark Nebula." The "Metal" in the new anime and toy line's name is a reference to the use of metal in the new tops, instead of just plastic as in the earlier incarnations. The new series will bring the number of episodes in the Beyblade series to more than 200.
