July 7 album tops Mizuki's own Ultimate Diamond, but ranks #2 for week

30-year-old voice actress Nana Mizuki's eight album, Impact Exciter, sold 93,000 copies during the July 5-11 week to rank #2 on Oricon's weekly album sales chart. The #1 album for the week with 156,000 copies sold was Jump No. 1, the first album by the 10-member boy idol group Hey! Say! JUMP.

Mizuki's previous album, Ultimate Diamond, sold 74,000 copies in June of 2009 to become the first album by a Japanese voice actress or actor to top Oricon's weekly album chart.

Impact Exciter shipped on July 7 ("Nana no Hi"), which was not only the Japanese festival day Tanabata, but also a wordplay in Mizuki's given name. The album contains the songs "Phantom Minds" (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st), "Silent Bible" (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's Portable: The Battle of Aces game), and "Mugen" (White Album). "Phantom Minds" set its own record in January as the first #1 single by a Japanese voice actress or actor on Oricon's weekly singles chart.

The limited first edition (pictured above) of Impact Exciter featured a 48-page photograph collection and a DVD with about 77 minutes of bonus footage.
