The official Twitter account of Sega's Valkyria Chronicles 3 : Unrecorded Chronicles game announced on Tuesday that production on a two-episode Original Video Anime (OVA) project has been green-lit for next spring. The title of the anime project is Senjō no Valkyria 3 "Ta ga Tame no Jūsō".
The "active simulation role-playing game" itself will ship for the Sony PlayStation Portable game console in Japan on January 27, 2011. The following in the game's official promotional video from September's Tokyo Game Show:
The anime project was originally announced at a Valkyria Chronicles 3 press conference on Tuesday morning. The event screened the game's full opening animation footage for the first time and revealed that the singer May'n is perfoming the opening theme song. Finally, there will be Nendoroid figures of the characters Riela and Imca.
The first Valkyria Chronicles (Senjō no Valkyria -Gallian Chronicles-) game already inspired a 2009 television anime series and a manga series.
