Morning Manga Plans English Site, Worldwide Dispatches (Updated)

The official website for Kodansha's Morning seinen magazine and its manga titles announced on Thursday that the web team plans to open an English version in the near future. The announcement came as part of a revamp (pictured at right) of the entire site. The English version will be the first step in Kodansha's plans to make the site available in multiple languages, and it aims to have simultaneous releases worldwide.
The site revamp launched a number of new series and an application for the Apple iPhone and Android smartphones, and it also introduced a new official mascot character, a bear called "Morninguma."

Update: More background information added. Animeanime.biz revised its article to note that Kodansha's website announced "worldwide simultaneous dispatches," as opposed to "worldwide simultaneous distribution." Kodansha has not announced plans for the simultaneous distribution of products.
