The Japanese publisher Kodansha began streaming a promotional video for the original anime DVD xxxHOLiC: Rō Adayume on Monday. The 19th limited-edition volume of CLAMP's xxxHOLiC manga will bundle the anime this March. The manga will end its run in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine on February 9.
The studio Toei Animation and the television network Asahi also began streaming two different previews for the first episode of their Suite Precure magical girl anime series on Monday. Suite Precure will premiere as the eighth Precure television anime series on February 6. Ami Koshimizu and Fumiko Orikasa will star as the magical girls Hibiki Hōjō (Cure Melody) and Kanade Minamino (Cure Rhythm), respectively. Together with a sprite named Hamii (Kotono Mitsuishi) from the musical country of Majorland, these two childhood friends will "save the world with music!"
The official website for the Sket Dance television anime series is streaming the video that first appeared at the 2010 Jump Anime Tour in Japan. (In the linked page, select the"Movie" option from the righthand menu.) The anime adapts Kenta Shinohara's school comedy manga of the same name. In the story, Yūsuke "Bossun" Fujisaki (Hiroyuki Yoshino) and several students in his high school form a "Sket Group" to solve any trouble in the student body. The anime will premiere in Japan this April.
The Japanese public broadcaster NHK began streaming a preview movie for the Moshidora television anime series on Monday. The anime adapts Natsumi Iwasaki's Moshi Kōkō Yakyū no Joshi Manager ga Drucker no Management o Yondara (Moshidora) business novel, whose title has been translated as What If a Female Manager of a High School Baseball Team Read Drucker's "Management"? The story centers around a high school girl named Minami Kawashima (Yōko Hikasa) who becomes the baseball team manager at Tokyo's Hodokubo High School. Minami accidentally buys Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices — a classic productivity guide by the Austrian-American management guru Peter Drucker — and uses it to rally her dispirited team. The anime will premiere in Japan on March 14.
