The March issue of Shogakukan's women's magazine Monthly Flowers is announcing on Saturday that an anime adaptation of Aloha Higa's Shirokuma Café (Polar Bear Café) manga will debut in April. The gag comedy follows the daily life of penguins, grizzly bears, and other animals at a café run by a polar bear.
Higa launched the manga in Monthly Flowers in 2006 as her first published work. Shogakukan published the third volume of the manga in 2010.
