A representative for the Crunchyroll anime streaming website announced through its forum that the company will begin streaming the animated short "Traveling Daru" on August 6.

The ten-minute, thirty-second short was created by a team at CoMix Wave Films headed up by Ushio Tazawa. According to the Crunchyroll representative, the title "tells the story of Daru, a handmade stuffed toy, who goes on a journey searching for its owner after they get separated at the airport." The short was originally screened beginning this April at the "Planetarium Starry Cafe" joint planetarium and cafe located in the international terminal of Tokyo's Haneda Airport.

A DVD for the title was released in Japan on July 6 of this year. A trailer for the short is also available online.
