Publishing distributor Random House updated to reveal that Kodansha Comics will release Yuma Ando and Yuki Satō's Sherlock Bones (Tanteiken Sherdock or Detective Dog Sherdock) manga. The first volume is scheduled for September 17 for US$10.99.

The manga reincarnates the famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes as a talking dog named Sherdock. The detective dog solves mysterious crimes with an ordinary high school boy named Takeru Wajima.

The manga debuted in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2011, and Kodansha will ship the seventh compiled volume on February 15. The story is currently on hiatus in Japan.

Yuma Ando (Psychometrer, Shibatora) is one of Shin Kibayashi's numerous pen names. The manga creator's other series include Kindaichi Case Files, Tantei Gakuen Q, The Drops of God, Psycho Busters, and The Knight in the Area. Tokyopop released several volumes of Kindaichi Case Files before closing its North American publishing operations in 2011. Del Rey released all of Psycho Busters, and Vertical is releasing The Drops of God in North America.

Sato previously worked on the manga series Yokai Doctor. Del Rey released the first volumes before Kodansha Comics took over its titles in 2010.
