Seven Seas Adds World War Blue Fantasy Manga

North American publisher Seven Seas Entertainment will release Crimson and Anastasia Shestakova's World War Blue (Aoi Sekai no Chūshin de) fantasy manga series. Seven Seas will release the first volume in July, followed by the second and third volumes in August and November.
The story re-imagines the real-life console wars as a fantasy tale — the Segua Kingdom is locked in an age-old war with the Ninterudo Empire (under the stern Emperor Marcus and his dinosaur steed) for dominance of the land of Consume. Segua now finds itself on the defensive, but an unlikely hero has risen in the form of Gear, a boy who brags about his breakneck speed. Gear helps turn the tide of the war.
Each volume in Seven Seas' release will include extras such as colored maps, pin-ups, character biographies, and bonus features on video game history and lore.
Micro Magazine published the nine-volume series in Japan between 2007-2009.
The manga is being adapted into a television anime series starring Nobuhiko Okamoto and Suzuko Mimori. The first two episodes in the series aired in Japan in October and December. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the series.
