Da Vinci Magazine Lists Top Manga in 1st Half of 2013

Ore Monogatari!!, Assassination Classroom, Ao Haru Ride, Drifters, Silver Spoon top lists

The July issue of Media Factory's book and manga news magazine Da Vinci revealed its "Book of the Year" list for the first half of 2013 on Thursday. The rankings are not based solely on sales. Instead, a group of 1,020 voters including professional book reviewers, bookstore employees, and Da Vinci readers selected the lists for the first half of the year.

Male-Oriented Comics

  1. Sakamoto desu ga? (Volume 1) – Nami Sano
  2. Assassination Classroom (Volumes 1-4) - Yūsei Matsui
  3. TERRA FORMARS (Volumes 1-5) – Kenichi Tachibana and Yū Sasuga
  4. Drifters (Volumes 1-3) – Kouta Hirano
  5. Silver Spoon (Volumes 1-7) – Hiromu Arakawa

Female-Oriented Comics

  1. Ore Monogatari!! (Volumes 1-3) - Kazune Kawahara & Aruko
  2. Kyō wa Kaisha Yasumimasu. (Volumes 1-3) – Mari Fujimura
  3. Umimachi Diary (Volumes 1-5) – Akimi Yoshida
  4. Ao Haru Ride (Volumes 1-7) – Io Sakisaka
  5. Wolf Girl & Black Prince (Volumes 1-6) - Ayuko Hatta

    6. Silver Spoon and Ore Monogatari!! were also on last year's lists.
