Funimation Holds Survey for New Dragon Ball Z Blu-rays
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Funimation opened a survey for Dragon Ball Z fans on Thursday to gauge interest in a new Blu-ray Disc edition. According to the poll, Funimation is looking to create "affordable" Blu-ray sets with "a brand new remaster using new technology to make the show look brighter and crisper."
Funimation plans to release the series in nine box sets covering episodes 1-291 for US$44.98 each at retail "(but you'll be able find them cheaper online and at most stores)." The company released part of the series on Blu-ray in 2011 but cancelled further releases "due to technical challenges of restoring from the original film frame by frame."
