Anime of Shūichi Asō's gag manga about high school boy with supernatural powers

This year's 32nd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that Shūichi Asō's Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan gag comedy manga will be adapted into a Flash anime. Asō himself teased an image of the manga's fifth volume with a wraparound band announcing a type of adaptation online last month, but the text revealing the adaptation's format was obscured. The anime will premiere in August.

The manga centers on a high school boy named Kasuo Saiki. He possesses supernatural powers that cause unfortunate events in his everyday life.

Aso launched the manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump last year after drawing one-shot versions of the story in Weekly Shonen Jump and Jump Next magazines the year before.
