Adaptation of Yua Kotegawa's love horror manga to open this October

The official website for the live-action adaptation of Yua Kotegawa's Arcana manga series began streaming the film's trailer on Thursday. The trailer features the film's theme song "Mutsu no Hana" by RAM WIRE. The film will open on October 19.

The love horror story takes place in a world where humans and doppelgangers can coexist. Tao Tsuchiya (live-action Ouran High School Host Club) will play the role of both Maki and Satsuki. Maki is a girl who can see and communicate with spirits. Masataka Nakagauchi plays a detective named Murakami who becomes attracted to Maki. Yoshitaka Yamaguchi (assistant director for Yatterman) is directing the film.

The original two-volume manga series ran in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine in 2000-2001.
