Anime Limited creates new trailer for Satoshi Kon slasher classic.
Anime Limited has created a new 72-second trailer for Satoshi Kon's classic psycho-thriller Perfect Blue. (The Blu-ray/DVD combi pack will be released on November 25; the DVD-only edition is already available.)
The film was the director debut for Satoshi Kon, who went on to make Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paranoia Agent and Paprika before his death in 2010. Set in contemporary Tokyo, the story concerns a pop singer, Mima, who tries to develop an acting career, only to experience threats and trauma as her mind breaks down and she is tormented by a ghostly version of her singer self. The film was previously released on VHS and DVD by Manga Entertainment.
