The organizers of the J-Pop Summit event in San Francisco revealed on Wednesday that they will host illustrator Yūsuke Nakamura as a guest of honor at this year's event. Nakamura will appear at Kinokuniya's booth to meet attendees and sign purchased copies of his illustration books, which Kinokuniya will sell throughout the weekend.

Nakamura drew the cover art for Tomihiko Morimi's The Tatami Galaxy and Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome novels, and he is credited as the original character designer for The Tatami Galaxy television anime series. He also drew the cover art for a number of Asian Kung-Fu Generation's CDs (pictured above), as well as the cover for Tokuya Higashigawa's Solve the Mystery after the Dinner novel. He is also a musician and a member of the band SAILS.

The J-Pop Summit will be held on August 8-9 at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco's Marina district. The event is also hosting pop singer Eir Aoi (Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online, Aldnoah.Zero).
