Patrick Seitz to direct Your Lie in April's dub; Bang Zoom! holds open auditions

Aniplex of America announced at its panel at Anime Expo on Thursday that it will release an English dub of Your Lie in April with ADR Director Patrick Seitz. Bang Zoom! Entertainment is holding open auditions for the dub at Anime Expo. Bang Zoom! Entertainment is also hosting open auditions for Aldnoah.Zero this weekend as well.

Aniplex of America also revealed that it will release Tsukimonogatari on Blu-ray Disc on September 15. The release will have English subtitles only on two discs, along with a booklet, a pinup postcard set, and package illustration by character designer Akio Watanabe. Video extras include textless opening and ending, and promo video and TV ad collections. The Blu-ray Disc set will retail for US$64.99 with a store price of US$49.98.

Aniplex of America also announced on Thursday that it is releasing its mobile app for Aniplex news and release calendar on iOS and Android devices.

Aniplex of America streamed Your Lie in April on the Aniplex Channel, Hulu, and Crunchyroll. Naoshi Arakawa's original shōnen manga that inspired the anime follows Kōsei Arima, a former child prodigy who lost his ability to play the piano when his mother died. His daily life is monochrome, but it begins to gain color when he meets a female violinist by chance. Kaori Miyazono is an audacious go-getter who is overflowing with personality. Enchanted by the girl, Kōsei starts to move forward with his own legs at the age of 14.

Kyōhei Ishiguro (Fairy Tail, Psycho-Pass episode director) directed the anime at A-1 Pictures off scripts by Takao Yoshioka (High School DxD, WATAMOTE). Yukiko Aikei (Accel World, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere) served as character designer and chief animation director. Masaru Yokoyama (Queen's Blade, Freezing Vibration) composed the music, while Jin Aketagawa (High School DxD, anohana) served as sound director.

Tsukimonogatari is the first story in the "Final Season" of NisiOisin's Monogatari Series. The four-episode series aired in Japan on December 31. Crunchyroll and Daisuki streamed the series outside of Japan.
