Yuko Minaguchi Joins Hokuto no Ken: Ichigo Aji Cast as Yuria

Official site to reveal voice actor for Bat on Monday

The official website for the television anime of Imōto Yukito, Yūshi Kawata, and Yukito's Hokuto no Ken: Ichigo Aji (Fist of the North Star: Strawberry Flavor) manga revealed on Sunday that Yūko Minaguchi (Dragon Ball Z's Videl, Sailor Moon S' Sailor Saturn) is voicing Yuria in the series.

The website is revealing a new cast member and character line art every day until August 25. The website will reveal the voice and line art for Bat on Monday.

The anime will air as part of the DD Hokuto no Ken 2 Ichigo Aji+ program that is adapting both the DD Hokuto no Ken and the Hokuto no Ken: Ichigo Aji spinoff gag manga. The program will premiere on October 6 on TV Tokyo, and it will air on Tuesdays at 1:35 a.m. The series will also air on TV Osaka and TV Aichi.

Akitarō Daichi will return from the 2013 anime to direct the "DD2" part of the program, and Mankyū (Mobile Suit Gundam-san, Tono to Issho) will direct the "Ichigo Aji" side of the program. The cast from the 2013 DD Hokuto no Ken anime series will return for the "DD2" side of the program.

The previously-revealed cast members for the "Ichigo Aji" side of the program include:

Katsuyuki Konishi (Gurren Lagann's Kamina, Tales of Symphonia the Animation's Lloyd Irving) as Kenshirō

Takashi Matsuyama (Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan's Nyūdō Hitotsume, Hozuki's Coolheadedness' Rurio) as both Fudō and Raoh

Toshiyuki Morikawa (Berserk's Griffith, Tenjho Tenge's Mitsuomi Takayanagi) will play Shin

Kishô Taniyama (Attack on Titan's Jean, Gurren Lagann's Kittan) as Yuda

Junichi Suwabe (Fate/stay night's Archer, Space Dandy's Dandy) as both Shū and Toki

Kōsuke Toriumi (Naruto's Kiba, Yowamushi Pedal's Imaizumi) as Rei

Banjō Ginga will return to the franchise to play Souther. Ginga played Souther in the original Fist of the North Star television anime series.

Buronson and Tetsuo Hara — the creators of the original Fist of the North Star post-apocalyptic fighting manga — are credited with the original work for Hokuto no Ken: Ichigo Aji. Kawata writes the manga's scenarios, Imōto Yukito draws the manga, and Yukito is credited with collaboration.

The gag manga centers on a fun version of the Holy Emperor Souther as he tries to find ways to become friends with Kenshirō, demonstrates his party techniques, and sometimes plays with the Gosha Sei.

Imōto Yukito, Yukito, and Kawata launched the manga on Tokuma Shoten's Web Comic Zenyon website in 2013, and the publisher shipped the fourth compiled volume (pictured at right) in June.
