Dragon Quest Builders' Release Date Announced With New Video

PS3/PS4/Vita game slated for January 28 in Japan
Kazuya Niinou, game director of Square Enix's Dragon Quest Builders game, announced during the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia press conference on Tuesday that Square Enix will release Dragon Quest Builders in Japan for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita on January 28. Square Enix also showed a new trailer for the game during the press conference. Video game website IGN began streaming the trailer on the same day.
The game is set in Alfegard, the setting of the original Dragon Quest game. It follows an alternate ending of the game where the hero accepts the Dragon Lord's offer to rule half the world. The player takes control of a new hero to rebuild the land.
