Show By Rock!! Reveals Sequel Anime's 4th Promo Video, Anime Shorts' Premiere Date

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Show By Rock!! Short!! premieres on July 4

The official website for Sanrio's Show By Rock!! television anime series began streaming a fourth promotional video on Wednesday for the show's sequel that introduces the band Trichronika.

Note: The below video is region-locked in some areas.

The end of the video mentions that the spinoff series of anime shorts titled Show By Rock!! Short!! will premiere on July 4. The shorts will debut on Tokyo MX on July 4 at 25:00 (technically July 5 at 1:00 a.m.) and will also air on Yomiuri TV and other channels.

Takahiro Ikezoe is returning from the original series to again direct Show By Rock!! Short!! at BONES. Touko Machida, who wrote the scripts for the first eight episodes of the original anime, is handling the series composition. Geechs is credited with production cooperation.

The anime will center on the band members of Plasmagica, ShinganCrimsonz, and other bands from the original anime series. Each episode will introduce and feature a different band. The anime will be a "carefree enjoyable" series that shares the worldview of the original TV anime series.

The full television anime sequel series does not yet have a premiere date. The official website for the anime franchise plans to reveal a new promotional video each month for a band that will appear in the second season. The website previously streamed a promotional video for Plasmagica in January, for Shingan Crimsonz in March, and for Tsurezure Naru Ayatsuri Mugenan last month. The fifth promotional video will be out near the end of June.

Thanks to Dennis R. for the second embedded video.
