Nintendo announced during its Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday that it will release four new The Legend of Zelda amiibo figures this holiday season to commemorate the game franchise's 30th anniversary. The 8-Bit Link and The Ocarina of Time Link amiibo figures will ship separately, while amiibos featuring Toon Link and Zelda as they appear in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker will ship together in a two-pack. All four will be compatible with the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game.

In addition, Nintendo revealed that Dark Horse Comics' upcoming line of The Legend of Zelda books currently has three installments planned. Nintendo confirmed that the first new book, The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts, is slated for February 21, 2017.

Nintendo also announced that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is now available for the Wii U via the Nintendo eShop.

Finally, Nintendo streamed a preview of a third DLC pack for its Hyrule Warriors Legends Nintendo 3DS game. The Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks DLC pack features a sand wand weapon for Toon Link and adds Toon Zelda in her The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks armor as a playable character, in addition to other new maps and battles.
