The June issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine is revealing the main cast on May 9 for the television anime adaptation of Hiroyuki's Ahogaru: Clueless Girl (Aho-Girl) manga. The issue is also revealing a new visual, and revealing that Sumire Uesaka is performing the show's ending theme song.

The series stars:

  • Tomokazu Sugita as Akuru Akutsu
  • Sayaka Harada as Sayaka Sumino

The anime will air in July on Tokyo MX on Tuesdays at 11:00 p.m., on Sun TV on Tuesdays at 24:00 (effectively Wednesdays at 12:00 a.m.), and on BS11 on Tuesdays at 26:00 (effectively Wednesdays at 2:00 a.m.). Each episode will be 15 minutes long.

Kodansha Comics announced in October that it would publish the manga in North America under the title Ahogaru: Clueless Girl. Kodansha Comics describes the series:

Yoshiko, a truly clueless high school girl, is never far from over the top hijinks. Her childhood friend has no choice but to look out for her!

Keizou Kusakawa (Problem children are coming from another world, aren't they?, Unlimited Fafnir) is serving as chief director, and Shingo Tamaki (chief animation director on Day Break Illusion) is directing at diomedea. Takashi Aoshima (Gabriel DropOut, The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura) is in charge of the series scripts, and Masakazu Ishikawa (Squid Girl, Campione!) is designing the characters. angela (K, Fafner) will perform the anime's theme song.

Hiroyuki (Doujin Work, The Comic Artist and His Assistants) launched the four-panel comedy manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2012, but moved it to Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, where it is ongoing, in June 2015. Kodansha shipped the eighth compiled book volume in October. The ninth volume will ship in June, and will reveal a new project for the franchise.
