TOKU Opens Streaming Channel on Amazon Prime

Service offers anime, Asian films

Olympusat Inc. announced on Thursday that its television channel TOKU is now offering a streaming service for Amazon Prime members through Amazon Channels. TOKU noted that it "has plans to launch its linear programming on Amazon Channels in the near future."

The streaming channel offers Asian films and television series, including some anime series. Yosuga no Sora, Juden Chan, Ladies Vs Butlers!, and Rio - Rainbow Gate! are available in Japanese with English subtitles, while Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, the American localization of Seijuushi Bismark, is available in English. The channel's live-action film lineup includes Takashi Miike's Ichi the Killer.

The service is available as a monthly subscription service to Prime members for an additional US$3.99 a month. A seven-day free trial is available. The service can be accessed through any device that can use Amazon Video.
