Marriage Toxin Unveils Behind-the-Scenes Series and Opening Theme Song by Yurina Hirate
An Inside Look at the Toughest Mission for Love!
LOS ANGELES, Calif., March 15, 2026 – Today, the MARRIAGETOXIN project announced a six-part behind-the-scenes video series with Bones Film's anime production as well as the Opening Theme for the anime. Yurina Hirate's addictive sounds in the anime's opening song “Kill or Kiss” can be heard in the first behind-the-scenes-video. MARRIAGETOXIN is written by Jōmyaku and illustrated by Mizuki Yoda. The series is currently serialized on Shueisha's manga app Shonen Jump+ and will begin airing as a TV anime in 2026.

The opening theme song for the MARRIAGETOXIN anime is “Kill or Kiss” performed by Yurina Hirate. She brings a sharp, modern edge to the series with "Kill or Kiss.” The track is a club-ready anthem that mirrors the duality of the show, balancing mysterious synths with a relentless beat. Vol. 0 of the behind-the-scenes footage will reveal the first listen of “Kill or Kiss.”

“When recording 'Kill or Kiss,' I wanted to channel the world of MARRIAGETOXIN and the tension between its two leads. It's a track I've personally fallen in love with, a high-energy dance number driven by a sharp, aggressive beat and haunting synth arrangements. The sound perfectly captures that 'sweet-yet-toxic' duality, creating an addictive sonic experience that I think fans of the original manga will really resonate with. Series Introduction
For centuries, the deadly arts have been perfected by those known as the Masters. Among them, the Poison Masters of the Five Great Families hold the most fearsome power and influence. Hikaru Gero, heir to the Poison Masters' Gero Family, has lived his entire life in the underworld, far removed from love or marriage.
But when the Gero Family head decrees that Hikaru's sister must bear an heir to preserve the bloodline – by force if necessary – Hikaru resolves to protect her at all costs. It is then that Hikaru encounters Mei Kinosaki, a brilliant marriage swindler who becomes the target of his latest job.
