This year's March issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine published the final chapter of Tatsuwo's Macross Delta manga on Friday. The fourth and final compiled volume (pictured right) will ship on February 9.
The manga launched in April 2016. The third compiled volume shipped in October.
The manga adapts the main story of the Macross Delta anime. The series has also inspired several spinoff manga, including Kei Ichimonji's Macross Delta Gaiden - Macross E (May 2016 to January 2017), Azuki Fuji's Macross Delta - Kuroki Tsubasa no Shiro Kishi (April 2016 to March 2017), and Shion Mizuki's Macross Delta - Ginga o Michibiku Utahime (April 2016 to September 2017).
The 26-episode Macross Delta television anime series ran from April to September 2016, after a preview of the first episode in 2015. The series is receiving an anime compilation film premeiring February 9 in Japan. The Macross franchise itself is also receiving a new television anime series in 2018 to commemorate the franchise's 35th anniversary.
