DMM Games opened a teaser website for its Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress PC browser/smartphone game on Friday. The website revealed a visual and the title Kōtetsujō no Kabaneri -Ran- Hajimaru Michiato (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress -Revolt- Beginning Tracks).
DMM Games announced the game at Tokyo Game Show 2016. At the time, it was slated for winter 2017. Noitamina released two drama CDs that tie into the game's plot at screenings of the Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress compilation films.
The game will be a turn-based RPG that takes place after the end of the anime, and will include familiar characters such as Ikoma and Mumei. The game will also add original characters designed at Wit Studio, the animation studio behind the original anime. Junpei Kasaoka, who handled the overall setting of the anime and wrote the Kōtetsujō no Kabaneri: Akatsuki (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: Daybreak) novel, is writing the game's story.
