Bandai Namco Entertainment America released the Record of Grancrest War: Quartet Conflict smartphone game based on Ryo Mizuno's Record of Grancrest War novel series on Wednesday for iOS and Android devices. The game is available to download for free.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America describes the game:

Record of Grancrest War: Quartet Conflict invites players to turn the tides of war and unite a divided continent via 3D, hack-and-slash combat. Each party is made up of four rotating characters from three distinct classes, each offering its own unique skills in battle: Lords, who power up their allies and summon reinforcements, Mages, who use devastating magic to quickly dispatch enemy hoards, and Artists, who can topple strong opponents with a combination of power and skill. Players can strategically switch between party members and utilize their strengths in harmony to charge their Quartet Gauge, then activate Quartet Mode to bring all four fighters into the fray simultaneously to overwhelm their foes!

The game allows players to relive scenes from the anime alongside characters such as Theo, Irvin, Siluca, and Aishela, and also features new characters and original stories. The game also features a "Faction War," where players will align themselves with either the Fantasia Union or Factory Alliance.

The game celebrates the 30th anniversary of Mizuno's Record of Lodoss War series. Bandai Namco Entertainment previously released the Record of Grancrest War single-player tactical role-playing game for the PlayStation 4 in Japan on June 14.

The 24-episode Record of Grancrest War anime based on Mizuno and illustrator Miyuu's light novel series premiered in Japan on January 5. Aniplex of America streamed the series on Crunchyroll and Hulu as it aired.
