Episode glitched during broadcast on March 16; re-airing scheduled for March 23

Adult Swim's Toonami block announced on Tuesday that it will re-air the sixth episode of the Sword Art Online: Alicization anime on Saturday, March 23 at 12:30 a.m., after its airing of the episode on March 16 had an error during airing, with the video supposedly being frozen.

The block will air the seventh and eighth episodes of the anime back-to-back on March 30 from 12:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.

The anime premiered on the block on February 9 with a one-hour premiere.

Sword Art Online: Alicization premiered in Japan last October and is streaming on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and FunimationNow. The series is adapting the entire "Alicization Arc" of Reki Kawahara's original novels and will air for four cours, or four quarters of a year.

Manabu Ono (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, Saki, The Asterisk War) is directing the anime at A-1 Pictures. Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale animation directors Gou Suzuki and Tomoya Nishiguchi are joining Shingo Adachi for the character designs. Yuki Kajiura is returning to compose the music.
