Two women authors under Akira Himekawa pseudonym will be at May event

The MCM London Comic Con has announced that its guests will include The Legend of Zelda manga author duo Akira Himekawa.

Akira Himekawa is a pseudonym for two women manga creators, A. Honda and S. Nagano. The duo are best known for their manga adaptations of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda games, including The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

MCM London will run at the ExCel Centre in the London Docklands from May 24 to 26. The creators are scheduled to appear at a Viz Media Panel on Friday May 24 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, and they will be the centre of a The Legend of Zelda panel on Saturday May 25 at 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

There will also be autograph sessions on the Friday at 2 p.m. and the Saturday at 4.30 p.m., both limited to 100 people. Signing session attendees each will receive a The Legend of Zelda shikishi and poster for Akira Himekawa to autograph (one item per person to be signed). The signings will be ticketed before the event.

Additionally, there will be a signing session outside MCM London at the Forbidden Lantern shop on Friday May 24 at 6 p.m. Wristbands to attend the session will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Attendees will receive a poster and shikishi (one item per person to be signed). Details will be given at the Forbidden Planet website, forbiddenplanet.com/.
