Keiji Inafune's game has players build, battle with cube-shaped kingdoms

LEVEL-5 Inc. launched a website for LEVEL5 comcept's Dragon & Colonies smartphone game and began streaming a promotional video on Monday. The game is slated to launch for iOS and Android devices in Japan in early summer.

The game is LEVEL5 comcept's first title, which Keiji Inafune is producing. In the game, players create their own kingdoms on cubes known as Hacolonies. Players can build on five sides of the cube and then battle against other Hacolonies. Game elements include construction, gathering materials, cooking, and expanding monarchies.

The game was first announced in June 2017 as a "box garden battle RPG" for release in 2018. The game will be free to play, and in-game items will be available for purchase.

Video game developer LEVEL-5 Inc. and Keiji Inafune's comcept video game studio announced the establishment of LEVEL5 comcept in June 2017. The video game and app company is a wholly owned subsidiary to Level-5.
