Cocotama Franchise Gets New Net Anime Series on Thursday

Mono no Kami-sama Cocotama reunites recent TV anime's cast; Kaoru Masaki, ERIKA perform theme song

The official website for the Cocotama franchise revealed in August that the franchise will get a new net anime titled Mono no Kami-sama Cocotama that will debut on the Bandai YouTube channel on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The anime's staff revealed on Wednesday that Kaoru Masaki and ERIKA will perform the anime's theme song "Happy Cocotama Dance!"

The anime will reunite the cast of the Kira Kira Happy ★ Hirake! Cocotama television anime, which premiered in September 2018, and will also air its final episode on Thursday.

The franchise began with the Kami-sama Minarai: Himitsu no Cocotama anime series, which premiered on TV Tokyo in October 2015.

In the franchise, "Cocotama" are tiny gods born from the thoughts and feelings of objects that people use with great care. The fact that Cocotama wear part of the egg they hatch out of as underwear is proof that they are still apprentices. The Cocotama use a mysterious magic, and they train hard to be of use to humans and to become full gods. They live inside human houses and stealthily move around to help humans find things they have lost, although they make many mistakes.

The franchise received an anime film titled Eiga Kami-sama Minarai: Himitsu no Cocotama: Kiseki o Okose ♪ Teppuru to Dokidoki Cocotama Kai (God Apprentices: Secretive Cocotama Movie: Make a Miracle ♪ Teppuru and the Heart-Pounding Cocotama World) that opened in April 2017.

The franchise also includes a popular line of toys and a free smartphone app.
