Game launches in Japan for PS4, Switch, PC on same day

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on Thursday that it will release its SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays game in the West on PC via Steam on November 27 in the United States and November 28 in Europe and Asia. The company began streaming an English-subtitled announcement trailer.

Bandai Namco had briefly listed a November 27 release date when it initially opened the game's Steam page on Wednesday.

The game will launch in Japan for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on November 28. EMPiRE perform the game's opening theme song "Success Story."

The Premium G Sound Edition of the game for PS4 and Switch will include 35 additional tracks of famous music from the franchise. The digital version of the game will include a character ability set. The first copies of the game will include a code to download a PS4 or Switch port of the 2002 SD Gundam G Generation: Monoeye Gundams game, the ability to add the Sisquiede (Titans Color) unit to the production list, and a quest to obtain a starter set of optional parts.

Bandai Namco Entertainment Southeast Asia will also release the game in English this year on PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

The new game will feature mobile suits from four different Gundam universes: After Colony (Mobile Suit Gundam Wing), Cosmic Era (Mobile Suit Gundam Seed), Anno Domini (Mobile Suit Gundam 00), and Post-Disaster (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans). The game will have four DLC sets, which will launch each month from December through March 2020. The first DLC will include characters from After War Gundam X, Turn A Gundam, and Gundam AGE.

The game is the latest in the "G Generation" series of SD Gundam games.

Update: Bandai Namco Entertainment corrected its press release to state that the game will release on November 27 in North America, and on November 28 in Europe and Asia.
