Voice Actress Akari Yura Cancels India Gig After Contracting Influenza

The staff of the Anime India convention confirmed with ANN on Saturday that Akari Yura (The Beginning After The End, Catch Me at the Ballpark! voice actor) will no longer be performing at the event's Live House concert. The artist has contracted influenza and was not able to travel internationally.

Akari was also scheduled participate in a panel at 4:45 p.m. IST on the same day.

The event will host a workshop by director Susumu Mitsunaka (Haikyu!! director, Weathering With You key animator) on February 14 at 2:30 p.m. IST and a meet & greet at 4:45 p.m. IST on the same day. The event will host a panel featuring the director on February 15 at 3:30 p.m. IST and a meet & greet at 10:00 a.m. IST.

Misaki will perform as a musical act at the convention's Live House concert on February 15 at 7:45 p.m. IST. She will have a meet & greet on February 14 at 3:15 p.m. IST.

The event will also screen the second episode of the third season of Spy×Family with a Hindi dub on February 14 at 11:15 a.m. IST. It will screen Scum of the Brave in Japanese with English subtitles at 11:15 a.m. IST.

Anime India is hosting the event at Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, Kolkata on February 14 and February 15.
