Special One-Week Broadcast Run On TechTV This March And
DVD Release Of The Hit Series' Third Volume Debuts April 6, 2004

LONG BEACH, CA – Feeding the fan frenzy for anime broadcast on TV, Geneon Entertainment and TechTV have partnered to premiere the edgy anime series Last Exile on primetime. From March 8 through March 14, anime fans can tune in nightly to TechTV's “Anime Unleashed” for 13 episodes of the series, as well as a concluding Last Exile marathon, featuring all episodes airing back-to-back on Sunday, March 14. Last Exile, from the creators of The Animatrix, has become especially well-known for its compelling characters, engaging plot, and state-of-the-art animation. Wildly popular in Japan and among the anime world through its initial DVD release, this new offering will generate a television viewing audience that will now have an opportunity to experience this gripping epic series. And for existing anime enthusiasts, this new addition is a perfect complement to the already-successful two volumes on DVD and soon to include the third volume debuting on DVD April 6.

Currently airing a selection of multiple anime television series and boasting a cult-like fan base, TechTV's “Anime Unleashed,” broadcasts to more than 38 million households nationwide. Last Exile will fit in with current TechTV scheduling weekdays and on Saturday, March 13, at 10:00 p.m. EST, with the marathon to air Sunday, March 14, starting at 4:00 p.m. EST. An additional 13 episodes of the series will air in early 2005.

Geneon also provides more of this creative hit series as the third volume, Last Exile – Volume 3: Discovered Attack, debuts on DVD April 6. Featuring work from director Koichi Chigira (Full Metal Panic! Gate Keepers, Blue Submarine No. 6), character design by Range Murata (Blue Submarine No. 6, Sega Saturn Wachenroder) and production design by Mahiro Maeda (The Animatrix, Blue Submarine No. 6, Gate Keepers, Evangelion, Final Fantasy: Unlimited), series followers will watch on the edge of their seats as the key to “Exile” becomes apparent after the “Door” ends up in the hands of Delphine in this highly-anticipated third volume DVD.

Harnessing 10 years of excellence in creativity from GONZO (Hellsing, Vandread, Blue Submarine No. 6) the Last Exile – Volume 3: Discovered Attack DVD features the Last Exile exhibition in Tokyo, art gallery and Geneon Entertainment animation previews. Available for the suggested retail price of $29.98, the DVD boasts 16:9 anamorphic widescreen features as well as English and Japanese bilingual
Dolby Digital 2.0 audio streams. Volumes one and two of Last Exile are also in-stores for anime collectors.

Synopsis: Last Exile –Volume 3

Claus and Lavie participate in an eight-hour endurance vanship race, and are joined by Dio Eraclea who tries to befriend Claus. Tatiana also participates in the race, but she is actually on a secret mission under Alex Row's direction. In the meantime, Alex Row bids for the mysterious “Exile Door” at a black market auction, but he is forced to withdraw from the bidding by the Guild. The Exile Door ends up in the hands of Delphine, the supreme leader of the Guild. And it becomes increasingly apparent that Alvis Hamilton is the key to the Exile.
