Fullmetal Alchemist TCG named "Best Anime TCG of 2006"

by Anime Insider magazine

CHARLOTTE, NC (November 29, 2006) - JoyRide Entertainment is pleased to announce that its critically acclaimed Fullmetal Alchemist TCG has just been named Best Anime TCG of 2006, as selected by the staff of Wizard Entertainment's Anime Insider magazine, beating out over a dozen games for the honor.

The December 2006 issue of Anime Insider (#39), on newsstands now, calls Fullmetal Alchemist TCG "fun and addicting," as well as "versatile, innovative, and most importantly, easy to learn." The magazine also goes on to say that the game "wins by being easy for the casual gamer, but implementing lightning-fast strategies and flexibility that will satisfy the most hardcore players."

"We're very pleased to receive this honor from Anime Insider," said Fullmetal Alchemist TCG Brand Manager Edward Bolme. "We just released our fifth set for FMA TCG, with a sixth, Sacrifice, coming in February, and it's great that the game has had such staying power. It's a tribute to the fact that anime fans and gamers alike love the game, both for its flavor and its mechanics."

The Fullmetal Alchemist anime was well represented in the issue, with "Elrics Reunited" taking the prize for 2006's "Best Moment" and Marta posthumously receiving the "Best Death" award.
