Anime Selects and Ziddio Search

for the Next Video Journalist

Anime Fans Can Compete to Become an On-Site Reporter in Tokyo

PHILADELPHIA, PA – February 13, 2007 – The search is on to send one lucky person to be an honorary video journalist reporting from the land of all things anime and manga. Anime Selects, Comcast's free Anime Video on Demand service, and Ziddio, a new online and ON DEMAND channel from Comcast featuring user-generated content, will host an online casting call from February 14 to March 5. Contestants interested in auditioning can submit video applications at Ziddio.com by uploading a two-to-five-minute video that takes judges on a journey and highlights their personality and reporting skills.

Auditions to be an on-site reporter at the Tokyo Anime Fair also will be held on February 24 & 25 at the NY Comic Con at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. Participants can register at the Anime Selects booth (#2), located on the Mezzanine level. The contest winner will be posted online at Ziddio and Anime Selects Web sites March 6.

“Ziddio and Anime Selects are giving the chance for a fan to enjoy the ultimate anime experience by sending them as a guest reporter to the birthplace of the anime genre,” said Matt Strauss, Vice President of Comcast's Content Acquisition and Development. “Anime is a popular Select On Demand category, giving fans their favorite shows when they want to watch them.”

To audition or submit a video, participants must:
